1. Service

Oratio is a free early-access German learning app at oratiobob.com. It stores sentence progress so you can continue your vocabulary path across sessions.

2. Data We Collect

We collect account email addresses, Google account identifiers when you use Google sign-in, session records, magic-link request records, sentence review history, word exposure counts, and support messages you send to us.

3. How We Use Data

We use data to sign you in, keep your account secure, send transactional emails, build your sentence queue, generate vocabulary lists, measure basic product reliability, and answer support requests.

4. Email

Oratio uses Amazon Simple Email Service for transactional email, including sign-in links and support replies. We do not use third-party marketing email tools in the current free version.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We use Amazon Web Services for hosting, storage, database, secrets, and email delivery. We use Google only when you choose Google sign-in.

6. Retention

We keep account and learning records while your account is active. You can request deletion by emailing support@oratiobob.com. We may retain limited operational records where needed for security, abuse prevention, or legal obligations.

7. Security

Sessions use HttpOnly cookies. Server-side session records store hashed tokens. Runtime secrets are stored in AWS Secrets Manager and should be read through IAM roles.

8. Your Rights

If privacy law gives you rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, contact support@oratiobob.com. We will respond using the account email tied to the request.
